Proposed Project: The applicant is requesting a Zoning Administrator's Determination to
authorize shared parking of 631 total parking spaces in conjunction with an
existing 159,154 square foot shopping center with commercial uses
including existing and future commercial uses such as office, retail, health
club, medical, and/or restaurant uses. The request is for 631 shared spaces
in lieu of the 816 spaces which would otherwise be required for the existing
and potential future uses at the shopping center. The project will not change
the height, size, or location of the existing commercial buildings on the
subject site.

City Planning Hearing re: 7331 Valmont

Public Hearing before the City Planning Commission will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 8:30 a.m.
The applicant, Valmont Care Center, proposes to expand an existing 6-bed, 2,891 square-foot Congregate Living Health Facility (CLHF) on a 10,899 square-foot lot to a 12-bed CLHF in the RD2-1 Zone. The facility provides inpatient care, including medical supervision, 24-hour skilled nursing, and supportive care, as well as pharmaceutical, dietary, social, and recreational care. No deviation from building standards is requested and there will be no change in the floor area of the building or alterations to the exterior. Interior improvements will be made to accommodate the additional beds. The applicant is requesting a 50 percent reduction in required parking, proposing three vehicle spaces in lieu of the six vehicle spaces otherwise required.
 
Pursuant to Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) Section 12.24 U.12, a Conditional Use to permit the expansion of an existing 6-bed Congregate Living Health Facility (CLHF) to a 12-bed CLHF in the RD2-1 Zone. Pursuant to LAMC Section 12.21 A.4(u), a 50 percent reduction in the number of required parking spaces to allow three on-site parking spaces in lieu of the six spaces otherwise required pursuant to LAMC Section 12.21 A.4(d)(2). Pursuant to LAMC Section 11.5.7 C.1, Project Permit Review for compliance with the Foothill Boulevard Corridor Specific Plan.

LA City Hall reopens to public on May 4

On April 7, 2022, Mayor Garcetti and City Council President Nury Martinez announced that Los Angeles City Hall and City Council Chambers would both reopen to the public on Wednesday May 4, 2022. City of LA Boards, Commissions, and bodies subject to the Brown Act, including neighborhood councils, will continue to meet virtually.

 
Proof of COVID vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours are currently required to enter the building. Appointments may also be required for in-person visits to specific departments.
