On April 7, 2022, Mayor Garcetti and City Council President Nury Martinez announced that Los Angeles City Hall and City Council Chambers would both reopen to the public on Wednesday May 4, 2022. City of LA Boards, Commissions, and bodies subject to the Brown Act, including neighborhood councils, will continue to meet virtually.
Proof of COVID vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours are currently required to enter the building. Appointments may also be required for in-person visits to specific departments. Please dial 3-1-1 or visit https://LAcity.org to find out if an appointment is needed. Learn more in this LACityView video about the reopening.
