Come for an afternoon of exploring and playing family
friendly board and card games — suitable for ages 6
to 96. Based on the Museum's current exhibit Toys &
Games, Past & Present, game tables will invite young
people to see and learn vintage games and adults to
relive the games of their youth.

Come by the Sunland Welcome Nature Garden and enjoy the sampling of our local biodiversity, as we celebrate a decade since we reclaimed this landscape from an invasive exotic monoculture.  The garden is located at Sunland Boulevard and Fenwick Street.  See flyer for more details.  This special day is made possible by dedicated volunteers.

EmpowerLA Return to In-Person NC Meetings and Transition to New Governance Rules Info Session 2/23 & 2/25

The Department will be hosting two info sessions for board members to assist with the transition to the new governance rules that will become effective on March 1st.  Please register to attend one of the two info sessions held in February. Register Here

In 2005, a proposal for a 200+ luxury gated housing development called 'Canyon Hills' was approved by LA City Council, based on a woefully inadequate Environmental Impact Report conducted in 2003. Even back then, the project was controversial for its sweeping destruction of the Verdugo Mountains in Tujunga.

Catalytic Converter Etching Event On Saturday, February 18th, Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station will be hosting a catalytic converter etching event at the Highlands Church at 4441 La Crescenta Avenue, La Crescenta, 91214.
