Dog Park at Sunland Park Proposed

Recreation and Parks Department is estimating $3.8 milliion to renovate the western portion of Sunland Park in order to accommodate a new dog park, based on an initial conceptual plan formulated by Department staff.  The proposed scope of work for this project includes the following:
•  Construction of a new small dog park and a new large dog park;
•  Removal of the park's half-court basketball court;
•  Renovation of existing park amenities such as the skate park, two tennis courts, and full basketball court;
•  Installation of new outdoor fitness equipment; and,
•  Installation of shade structures in the dog park, new landscapting and irrigation, and new walkways to connect the various proposed amenities.

It appears this hearing is being held on behalf of the City Planning Commission by a Hearing Officer.
Proposed three story 42 feet residential building with 46 residential dwelling units, 89 parking spaces.
