From November 2020 through April 2022 the Historic Verdugo Hills Cemetery Restoration & Renewal Project endeavored
to bring the old, neglected and dilapidated cemetery back to a state in which the community could be proud.

That was accomplished in preparation for the Grand Centennial Event held at the cemetery on April 23, 2022. This could not have been accomplished without the dedication of over a hundred volunteers. Mike Goglia was one of those volunteers and a good friend of the cemetery. He took on several tasks over the course of the restoration project and they were the most difficult of all the efforts put forth.

I greatly appreciate his help, I couldn’t have gotten it done without him. The group continues to meet monthly for upkeep and maintenance.
