The following Cooling Centers will be open Fri thru Mon from 12:00PM - 8:00PM:
Temperatures this Labor Day weekend are predicted to be as high as 112 degrees in parts of Los Angeles! You're invited to beat the heat this weekend, at one of the cooling centers (listed below) that the Dept of Recreation & Parks is activating now through Monday, September 7, 2020.
Due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements capacity at these centers is diminished, so it is a good idea to call ahead to check space availability. The centers will all follow the LA County Public Health social distancing guidelines during hours of operation. Reasonable accommodations for access and communications are available.
Cooling centers will be open Friday, September 4, 2020 through Monday, September 7, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.After the conclusion of the centers’ activation hours, the facilities will continue to follow the citywide park closures restrictions mandated by City’s Safer L.A. directives and the LA County Public Health orders until further notice.
Additional information regarding L.A. City cooling center facilities is available at https://www.laparks.org/emergency/cooling-center-activation . You may also get more info by phoning 3-1-1 from any mobile or landline phone in the Los Angeles area, or by calling the Recreation and Parks Public Information Office at (213) 202-2700.
