Bright Spot is in Town!
Posted on 08/05/20Operation Bright Spot program began work last week in Sunland and crews will continue to work their way along the 4-mile stretch of Foothill Blvd through Sunland-Tujunga over the next two months, as well as working on Commerce Avenue.
Crews will be concentrating on the commercial portion of Foothill Blvd, from Fenwick all the way over to Lowell Avenue, as well as on Commerce Avenue in Tujunga, including the repainting of red curbs, street sweeping, litter cleanup, sidewalk power-washing, graffiti removal, weed abatement, bulky item pickup and more! Our office is coordinating various City departments, including the Department of Transportation, the Bureau of Street Services, and the Department of Sanitation, as well as Northeast Graffiti Busters, to clean the main commercial corridors in Sunland-Tujunga. This cleaning program will also include a 311 education campaign for residents and businesses in the area to help keep the corridor clean following Operation Bright Spot by encouraging the reporting of issues along Foothill Blvd to the City.
