PROJECTS/UPDATES:

• Howard Finn lighting project - the Councilwoman secured over $100k to bring much-improved lighting to this park, and the project is currently wrapping up - the fixtures are all installed, and you can see the new lighting on in the parking lot at night, with the in-park lights to be illuminated shortl

• Overnight/Oversize Parking Restrictions have been approved by City Council for the neighborhoods of Sherman Grove between Le Berthon and Hillrose, as well as for Valaho between Valmont and Mountair; we have shared this approval with the LADOT so they can move forward with the process of installing the actual signage

EVENTS:

• On Friday, December 10, we will be hosting a community tree lighting at Sunland Park from 6p-8p, with free holiday photos, churros and hot chocolate, as well as kids activities - and COVID vaccinations and testing!

• On December 23, we are partnering with County Supervisor Barger’s office to host another grocery giveaway at All Nations Church in LVT from 9a-12p - the food pantries in our area close down for 1-2 weeks during the end of the year, so this will be an important resource for those that are food insecure

• On December 27, the Councilwoman is hosting our office’s own Holiday Helpings grocery giveaway - vouchers will be distributed through our local food pantries for residents in need
