FOR WORKERS & EMPLOYEES: If you’re unable to work due to having or being exposed to COVID-19 (certified by a medical professional), you can file a Disability Insurance (DI) claim. If your employer has reduced your hours or shut down operations due to COVID-19, you can file an Unemployment Insurance (UI) claim. You can also visit  California's Employee Development Department (EDD) to learn about resources to support tax assistance, care giving, and other sudden illnesses.

FOR BUSINESSES: For small businesses impacted by the coronavirus, I encourage you to visit LA County Consumer and Business Affairs to learn about resources to support business owners impacted by the downturn in customers and profits, among other issues related to the virus. Also for small businesses, if you need Disaster Loan Assistance please apply through the U.S. Small Business Administration website.
