The Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council’s Ad Hoc Safe Streets Committee was formed in January 2018 to complete a project started a year earlier by the initial Safe Streets Committee, but abandoned in June 2017. The new Ad Hoc committee was given the authority by the STNC to create artwork for pole banners to be installed along Foothill and Sunland Boulevards with artwork and language promoting safe driving.

To that end, the committee completed creation of the banners’ artwork in five months and in June 2018, the STNC approved the Ad Hoc committee’s mission to move forward with production and completion of the banners. It is anticipated that in July/August 2018, the banners will be installed along Foothill and Sunland Boulevards. Additionally, the committee developed stickers for children carrying the same messages, postcards and retractable banners to be used at STNC events and for outreach to the community, letting them know that we are working on this issue which remains the Number One concern for residents in our community.

The Ad Hoc Safe Streets Committee has created a survey asking for your input on traffic safely. Please take a moment to answer these questions. This survey should only take one minute to complete.
