DON'T BE LEFT OUT --- THIS SURVEY DEADLINE IS COMING UP FAST.  First Meeting Held to  Help Shape the Future of - Your Northeast San Fernando Valley Communities was held November 4.  Hosted by SCAG & the Mulholland Institute, the Northeast San Fernando Valley Sustainability & Prosperity Strategy is a highly-ambitious endeavor that covers an area the size of Cleveland, with an even greater population of half a million residents. As substantial as the Northeast Valley region is, there is a tendency for it not to be recognized as a quarter of the fifth largest metropolitan area in the United States -- the San Fernando Valley. Communities represented included Sunland-Tujunga, Pacoima, Lake View Terrace, City of San Fernando, Sylmar.

A Public Workshop was held at the Vaughn Next Century Learning Center on Herrick Avenue in Pacoima.
Seated with our respective communities we brainstormed many great ideas and then prioritized them down to three. Overall it was great to see that we have many common concerns, interests, ideas and direction for future improvement and planning for our communities.
The STNC will host a meeting like this in Sunland-Tujunga.
Check back shortly for photos of the ideas, meeting agenda and fact sheet from the 11/4 event.
This planning project is coordinated by the Mullholland Institute.  More info at Northeaststrategy.org
