HOW TO LOOK UP VOTER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
It’s important to let voters know what to bring to the polls in order to vote for you.

To look up voter requirements, select your Neighborhood Council from the list on this page: http://tiny.cc/NCbylaws. Election parameters are stated in Article X of a Council’s Bylaws. Attachment B contains a list of board seats and eligibility requirements for each one, including the minimum voting age.

Make sure to look at the actual seat you are running for, as some Councils have different eligibility requirements for different seats.

What are Neighborhood Councils?
Neighborhood Councils are your connection to Los Angeles City Hall and the elected officials and City departments there. Neighborhood Councils are made up of elected board members who are part of the local community. The City of Los Angeles created Neighborhood Councils in 1999, in order to make the City government more responsive to local needs.
